Not at all. You can pause or cancel the service at any time. If you are going away for a few days or weeks, just go into your account and skip those days/weeks; if you want to stop the deliveries indefinitely or permanently you can do that easily too.
As well as catering for vegan diets, most of our main meals and side dishes are also free of any ingredients containing gluten. You can opt to have only dishes without gluten in your deliveries if you prefer. If you have any allergies, intolerances or even dislikes, let us know when you sign up and we’ll make sure we don’t include dishes with those ingredients. Obviously, the more restrictions there are, the less variety we can offer but we will accommodate you if we can.
No, you can have your delivery every week, every other week or every month for the treat box. Alternatively, you can opt for a single, one-off delivery, although it is more cost-effective to have regular deliveries.
Yes. You can opt for the Pick Your Own box rather than the Chef’s Selection. The Pick Your Own box enables you to select the dishes you like from our core range. With the Chef’s Selection box we put together a box which includes core dishes as well as weekly and seasonal specials. We make sure we don’t include ingredients and dishes you have told us you don’t like or can’t eat but each box will be a pleasant surprise. If you prefer certainty, the Pick Your Own box offers a good selection of core dishes but there will naturally be less variety.
If you have any allergies or intolerances, just let us know when you sign up. Most of our meals are made without any ingredients which contain gluten. You can also check allergens in our core dishes HERE.
If you don’t enjoy one of our meals, then let us know and we’ll make a note not to include it in your delivery again. We want all our customers to be happy with our service: if you are not completely happy we offer a money back guarantee.
We take our packaging very seriously and do our best to minimise waste. Most of our packaging is completely biodegradable. That which is not is easily recyclable. We also offer subscribers a zero-waste packaging option if they would prefer. With the zero-waste system, we deliver the meals in ovenproof dishes which can go straight into the oven or microwave. We collect used dishes when we drop off the next order. The system may not work for those who have to carry their orders home from the office as the dishes are obviously heavier than our compostable pots but is a convenient fridge-to-oven-to-table solution as well as being very environmentally friendly.
Our main delivery days are Mondays and Thursdays. On Mondays, we deliver three dishes and on Thursdays we deliver two additional dishes to those on the 5-day plan and four additional dishes to those on the 7-day plan. The time of delivery will depend on whether you have your food delivered to your home or place of work and we will agree that with you when you subscribe.
If you are going to be out when we drop off your food, we can leave it in an insulated cool box for you. You can either leave out one of your own or we can drop the food off in one of ours. In the latter case, we collect it the next time we make a delivery or re-use it with fresh chiller blocks to store that week’s delivery. The cool box delivery system is free but we do ask for a deposit if you choose to use one of our boxes.
Yes, the dishes can be frozen although some freeze better than others. We find, for example, that dishes containing potatoes can get a bit soggy after freezing. If you want to freeze particular dishes, just ask us. Alternatively, you may want to opt for our freezer box which contains 7 ready frozen meals, all of which freeze and defrost well.
Simply pop the food in the fridge until you are ready to eat it. All the food will happily sit in the fridge for at least three days. If you are thinking of eating it after three days, you may wish to consider freezing it.
We close for two weeks August and for a week at Christmas so do not make deliveries during this period. We find that many people are away or otherwise do not need deliveries during these periods and they are good times for us to take our holidays as well!
